The 5 events of the NPS Tour NY 600 SPEEDWEEKS have all been completed, and for a first year, the shows were phenomenal!
This past weekend, the NPS Tour by NY6A visited Freedom Motorsports Park and Limerock Speedway. Both tracks saw great competitive action - just check out the images to see what we mean! Thanks to all the tracks that participated in the Inaugural NY 600 SPEEDWEEKS - we were given fantastic track surfaces to work with, and couldn't ask for better facilities!
Friday night saw Scott Kruetter of Alden NY power his way past Tyler Walker for the win at a track he has won at several times. Kruetter is a veteran name in the 600 micros, and is well-respected in the NY Sprint car scene.
Keeping up with the NPS Tour points chase, Tyler Walker held on after 4 great runs to survive as the Inaugural winner of SPEEDWEEKS over Kyle Coffey. The grand finale at the Woodchuck 100 on Saturday went from bad to worse for Walker who ran three of the four contest before wrecking out and having to visit the hospital for observation overnight. Brandon Goetz took the Woodchuck 100 overall win for $1000, and one segment. The other segments were won by Charles Hunt, Tatter Kysor and Frank Jarkiewicz, each segment paying $500. Winner photos and others courtesy of Anthony Bristol Images - a big thank you to Anthony for his commitment to the Tour, especially during these last two weeks. His shots are absolutely excellent, and would make great mantlepieces, posters, etc. Please view his albums linked below, and if you love something, purchase it! Support those that support your Tour!
