NY6A TOUR - FOUNDER/OWNER The NY6A Hoosier 600 Micro Sprint tour was started by Tri County Racing club at Danny Knoll Jr's suggestion as a board member to be an arm of Limerock Speedway. The idea was to foster cooperation of scheduling of a tour for the benefit of all Micro sprint racers and tracks. After the initial season, although very successful, the club decided that the tour was not really a good fit for its mission statement and was sold to Danny Knoll Jr for $1.At that time, the tour incorporated the name US6A and the dba NY6A Tour. Since its inception the mission statement for the tour has been to promote and grow 600 Micro sprint racing to the benefit of all involved. Hoosier Tire has been added as the official sponsor of the tour series. "The vision for the tour is to educate racers on the extreme value that the class offers for a real race car. Make no mistakes, we are the fastest cars on the track at most venues, and even faster than full size sprinters on a dry slick day! We hope the numbers grow as the racing community realizes that good racing does not need to be expensive." |

JERRY GURNEY
NY6A TOUR - DIRECTOR/DRIVER
Jerry Gurney has been an active NY6A tour driver for many years. Within the past couple years he has taken on the role of managing the NY6A Tour series for Danny. Jerry stepped in to keep the tour going and hopes to see the car count continue to grow. He has taken on the role of making sure tracks are booked for the upcoming season, stocking Hoosier tires and having fuel on hand to sell on race day, and much more. He is very dedicate to the series and enjoys putting in the work to offer a variety of tracks to race at. It offers a fun environment for the drivers.
At each race event, Jerry not only balances all the responsibility of making sure the event is ran properly, selling tires and fuel . He is also a competitor and gets to enjoy being on the track with the rest of the driver.
Jerry earned the 2021 NY6A Hoosier 600 Sprint Tour Champion!!

Lisa Battalino
NY6A TOUR - Administrator/Marketing
Lisa Battalino has been active in the racing environment for a long time. She is very passionate for the sport. It started when her son started racing at a very young age. She volunteered many hours as board member, secretary and then presidents at a few quarter midget clubs/tracks. Now the NY6A tour is lucky enough to have her as part of the team. She handles all the administrative duties to keep things running smoothly and updates all the social media and website along with much more. She is always happy to answer any questions or help anyone. She is very dedicated to help the NY6A tour series to continue growing and be a fun series for our drivers. If you have a question on rules, she is the one to go to. She keeps up on them and makes it fair for all.
On race day, you will find her smiling face at our driver registration table. Checking in drivers, making sure everyone has drawn for starting position in the heats, selling Hoosier tires & fuel, completing the line ups, getting the line ups to the scoring tower and making sure our winners get their victory picture taken with our banners. Lisa has been able to handle all the race day duties and taking a lot of weight off Jerry, the director so he can focus on his race car and being able to race with the rest of the drivers.
